Lucky viewers in the Bay Area and Northern California will be able to experience the Video Games Live PBS Special almost two full months in advance. PBS station KQED Public Television 9 will be debuting the Video Games Live special in its entirety on Monday, June 7th, 2010 at 7:30pm and Tuesday, June 8th at 1:30am. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, the first movie in the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise, will be screened at the Laemmle’s Sunset theater in Hollywood on June 24. Stephanie Sheh, english voice actress for Mikuru will appear along with other surprise guests. She will be signing the theatrical poster for all attendees. Cristina Vee of Bandai’s ASOS Brigade will also appear and be performing on stage several of the series’ songs in English and Japanese before the screening. Attendees will be treated to a Haruhi manga and novel giveaway courtesy of Yen Press and Crunchyroll will raffle off 10 three month memberships and five one-year anime memberships to lucky attendees.
